Build and Design

The phone is built mainly of plastic and has a simple candy bar design. At the front side you can see the logo of ASUS at top center while at the bottom is the little brushed aluminum trim which is the trademark of ASUS products.


The device rear view cover is replaceable and comes in many different colors. On the back side you can find the logo of ASUS and INTEL. The design has been made in such a way that it is easy to use and can handle two-three knocks on the ground. You can use the phone with one hand. There is a built-in app by the name ASUS Splendid where you can change color temperature and saturation, thus you have the power to control how your display looks like. Apart from this, there is auto-brightness feature which just adds to the pleasant surprises this small bomb is giving. Device works great in sunlight. Thus it will not be an exaggeration if it is said that ASUS ZenFone 5 has the best screen in 10K segment smartphones.



Most of the phones which you will find in 10K range runs on either Mediatek’s MT6582 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400. Here is what makes Asus different from the others. It runs on an Intel Z2560SOC dual-core clover with CPU running at 1.6 GHz. The device has a 2GB RAM. It works on Android version 4.3 which is not upgradeable. But in this price range you can’t expect more than this. ZenFone has its own interface known as ZEN UI which looks very decent and refreshing.
