How Will You Use Your Android Tablets?

The first thing you need to do when you are looking at the different Android tablets is decide how you want to use them. There are utility tablets, for instance, designed for professional people, or educational tablets for kids. There are big tablets, small tablets and tablets with accessories that make them as efficient as a laptop. Clearly, there are some big choices to make.

What Size Tablet Do You Need?

In this case, you need to think about the actual physical size of your tablet. Generally, the larger the tablet, the more expensive it is. However, small tablets sometimes have far better screen quality. Again, it all depends on how you intend to use it. If you just want to surf the net or read some books, then you don’t really need anything over 7 inch. However, if you want to take really good pictures and manipulate them, or do research on graphs and spreadsheets, then something bigger would be better.

The Operating System

There are actually different operating systems that can be used on Android. There is the Cup Cake, the Kit Kat and more. It all depends on what you want to use it for, and how that operating system meets those needs. Each version has some specific applications that can run on them, so do think about which programs you intend to use on your tablet before you decide on the best operating system for your needs. For instance, Android 2.3 and above doesn’t support Flash, so if you use that quite regularly, then you should choose an earlier operating system.

The Brand

We all know that there are products out there that are expensive simply because their brand label. However, when it comes to tablets, certain brands do actually break the mould and offer you superior quality. Some of these brands include Samsung, Google and Sony. Unfortunately, these are also the more expensive models, but then you do sometimes have to pay a little more for something really good.

Your Budget

You can pick up a good quality tablet for very little money, particularly if you don’t mind owning a second hand one. However, do make sure that you do not compromise quality for price. Sometimes, it is simply better to pay a little more and get something really good. If this means waiting a little while until you have sufficient funds, then maybe that is something you should consider.
